Original drawing created as a gift for family. These trees stand tall and intertwined on a farm in Illinois.

I see this image as a symbol of family life; wrapped up together, dependent on each other, an indiscernible unity at times, probably a little crowded at others. But what would we be without those with whom we share our lives? Giving us an identity to which we cling and perhaps rebel at turns, we lean on, yield to and support the other for their sake and our own.
